Third “Games Made in Germany” team sale: exclusive showcase to launch on June 20, 2024

The “Games Made in Germany” Steam Sale is entering its third round: After the two successful previous years, the Steam Event 2024 will start on June 20 at 7 p.m. (CEST), accompanied by a showcase event on Steam and IGN’s YouTube channel. Under the heading “Games Baked in Germany”, more than 250 games developed in Germany will be part of the event on Steam, the world’s largest distribution platform for computer games, from June 20 – 27. This year’s line-up also includes well-known games and studios that have won awards such as the German Computer Game Award and the German Developer Award.

By participating in the Steam sale, developers can expand the international reach of their games and increase their brand awareness. According to Valve, Steam has over 69 million active users every day.

Premiere Showcase

The kick-off for the event will be a showcase event on Steam and IGN’s YouTube channel for the first time on June 20 from 7 pm. Highlights of the showcase include exclusive announcements, releases, updates and new gameplay trailers for games developed in Germany.

Event-Vinyl „Tunes of Games Baked in Germany 2024”

In collaboration with the Cologne-based label Black Screen Records and numerous studios and publishers, an exclusive and limited vinyl record is available for the first time to coincide with the “Games Made in Germany” Steam Sale. The vinyl “Tunes of Games Baked in Germany 2024” can now be pre-ordered in the Black Screen Records online store at https://blackscreenrecords.com/products/games-made-in-germany-2024. The record includes tracks from games such as “Chained Echoes”, “Songs of Silence”, “Endzone 2”, “Harold Halibut”, “Pioneers of Pagonia”, “Atlas Fallen” and “Enshrouded”.

The Steam Sale is an initiative of Games Germany, the association of German games funding and network institutions. The aim of Games Germany is to present the great diversity of German games worldwide and to support German studios in the distribution of their games.
