Writing a complete, well-designed and convincing application is not necessarily easy – even if you already have experience. In particular because every industry works differently and tips from the Internet might not apply to you.

That’s why we’re offering a two-part online event with Jean Leggett to help you on your way to a job in the games industry:

  • Understand what hiring managers want (Speak to their pain!)
  • Translate previous experience in/outside of games to game dev roles
  • Craft an impactful resume that gets you noticed

Part 1: Wednesday, February 8th from 6:00 p.m

In the first part of the English language career workshop on Wednesday, February 8th, Jean will give you a general introduction to writing a good application for the games industry and bring various examples.

Jean will be happy if some of you send in your CV (in English) before the first workshop. This will give Jean a feel for who will be there. You can find the email address to send your CV to in the sign up confirmation email.

Part 2: Wednesday, February 15 from 6:00 p.m

With the newly acquired knowledge from the first part, you can already revise your own documents. If you want Jean to provide feedback on your CV, send your document to the same email address from the sign up confirmation by Monday, February 13th, 20:00 CET. Jean will randomly select five to six documents and discuss and edit them live in front of the group in the second part of the workshop.

Please note: Not all CVs sent to Jean can be discussed; she will randomly select five to six. The documents must be in English! CVs that arrive after 20:00 CET on Monday the 13th will not be considered. You can find the email address to send your CV to in the sign up confirmation email.

The event will take place via Zoom. You will receive the link via email shortly before the event. Registration is via Eventbrite and is free.
